Terrifying Dash Cam Video Shows Moment Flying Tire Smashes Car

WATCH: Heart-Stopping Moment a Tire Hit a Car Windshield

A Toronto driver's dashboard camera caught the harrowing moment when a tire flew off another car and smashed through his windshield and sunroof.

The driver, Andrew Sukhdeo, survived the accident unscathed.

"Everything was just happening so quickly that there was not time to react or think," Sukhdeo told CTV Toronto. "I just kind of ducked."

The video shows a car losing it's wheel. The wheel then hops over the meridian and can be seen flying into Sukhdeo's 2014 Toyota Corolla. Shattered glass is seen flying at impact.

The car was traveling westbound on Highway 401 at the time.

The dramatic video comes from a dash-cam Sukhdeo reportedly installed himself just a few months ago for peace of mind.

"I hope to never get something this good [on video] again," Sukhdeo told CTV. "I'm thankful it was there."

Sukhdeo was apparently driving home from work this past Tuesday when the terrifying incident happened around 3 p.m.

An Ontario Provincial Police officer arrived on the scene shortly after the accident -- and Sukhdeo's damaged car was towed, CTV reported.
