O.J. Simpson is smiling for the camera in a newly released mug shot by Nevada's Department of Corrections.
The image, released Monday, was taken at the Lovelock Correctional Center, where Simpson is serving 33 years for armed robbery.
Simpson, 68, had not had a new mug shot since July 2013. An official said fresh photos of inmates are periodically taken to ensure their records are updated.
In 2007 the former NFL star was jailed for breaking into a Las Vegas hotel room at gunpoint with a group of men to steal sports memorabilia.
Simpson was found not guilty of killing former wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman in the world-famous 1994 criminal trial.
But a civil jury ordered him to pay $33.5 million in damages in 1997 after finding him liable for the double slaying.
