Not since "The Dress" has a dress caused such an uproar.
The Moschino dress that looks like plastic wrap from a dry cleaner first made an appearance on the runway during Milan Fashion Week earlier this year. Runways, however, are no stranger to crazy fashion, so the masses didn't say much.
But now that the dress is available for sale -- for $895.
Available on the Brown's website, the "Cape Sheer Overlay Dress" description reads: "This clear Moschino dry cleaning cape overlay dress is the only kind of laundry you'd be willing to do (for your trusty au pair takes care of that kind of stuff). This dress showcases the brand's economical Fall/17 runway theme and features a slip-on sleeveless design made from a see-through polyester re-used 'plastic bag' that is printed with 'Free pickup and delivery' text in red and 'We *heart* our customers' across the top."
Note that the "dress" is see-through, so unless you want to be arrested, you'll need to wear an actual dress underneath it.
ABC News request for comment from Browns was not returned.
For those who feel $895 is too much to spend on a dress that's not really a dress, but do want to get the dry-cleaning bag look, there's a similar frock available at Saks Fifth Avenue.
We're left with just one burning question: Is it dry-clean only?
