Here is Paula, in her own words, about the episode.
He’s friends with Bono. The Bush family. And he’s a three-time Grammy winner.
Michael W. Smith has more awards than room on his shelves. And the critically acclaimed singer-songwriter boasts even more top hits, including “Friends."
Smith performed that song at the funeral of the late President George H.W. Bush. It was a request from the former president himself. The friendship between the two dated back to Bush's days in office.
On this episode of "Journeys of Faith," Smith details his friendships with previous presidents and his path to success. But he also talks about the darker side of his journey: drugs, depression and the moment he thought his life was over.
