A Swedish University suffered from some misplaced faith in humanity when it asked the internet to come up with the names for two queen bees at its two new campus bee hives.
The KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm asked web users to name their bee royals in an online poll last week. In an announcement yesterday, the university said one queen bee will be called "Bee McBeeface" after winning 69 percent of the vote, and the other will be named "Beeyoncé," which came in second place with 16 percent support.

Earlier this year, Britain's Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) asked the world to name its £200 million (around $282 million) advanced polar research ship in its highly publicized #NameOurShip campaign.
The name "Boaty McBoatface" won the polls by an overwhelming majority.
The NERC will instead name the boat RSS Sir David Attenborough but, in a concession to poll participants, bestow "Boaty McBoatface" on the ship's high-tech sub-sea vehicle.
