A celestial show both bright and green dazzled skygazers in Kiama, Australia, over the weekend.

The Eta Aquarid meteor shower, most visible in early May, didn’t disappoint. The meteors, moving at 148,000 mph, lit up the sky.

Photographer David Finlay captured the stunning display and praised it as “an especially good show, with lots of bright fireballs, leaving green ionized trails.”

The Eta Aquarid meteor shower returns every year in April and May, when Earth passes through debris left by Halley’s Comet.
