Daisy Ridley knows a thing or two about launching a new "Star Wars" film.
The breakout star of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" can easily relate to what Felicity Jones, the lead of the upcoming standalone film "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," is going through. Ridley tells ABC News that while she hasn’t seen an advance screening of "Rogue One," she and Jones just had drinks a few weeks ago.

I hear very good things," says Ridley. "And me and Felicity had a drink a couple of weeks ago and it was really interesting talking to her because I've had so many conversations this year, but she's literally about to do the same exact thing I was doing this time last year, and it's super exciting.”
She added that she has great admiration for Jones. "She's like the greatest, and also I'm a huge fan of hers so I was trying to keep it together," she said.
Ridley's new documentary, "The Eagle Huntress," which she narrates and executive produces, opens Nov. 2.
Ridley also told People magazine that Jones doesn't need any advice about adjusting to the "Star Wars" universe.
"Felicity needs no advice – she is a phenomenal actress and a wonderful human being,” Ridley told the magazine.
"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will be released on Dec. 15, 2017, by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.
