It's a faceoff for the ages.

Carly Fiorina took on rival Republican candidate Donald Trump at the debate Wednesday night, swinging back at him for making comments seemingly about her appearance in a recent magazine article.

In a recent Rolling Stone cover story, Trump said "Look at that face!" when a camera zoomed in on Fiorina, according to the magazine. "Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!"

Fiorina stayed calm as CNN moderator Jake Tapper asked her about the comment, which Trump has since said was about her persona, not her appearance.

"Women all over this country heard very clearly what Mr. Trump said," she said stoically.

Trump responded by saying "she’s got a beautiful face and she's a beautiful woman.”
