Bride and groom Skylain and Jeffery Clarke spiced up their wedding photos at Taco Bell.
The nacho-loving newlyweds took wedding photos at one of the fast food chain’s restaurants after their Sept. 29 nuptials in St. Augustine, Florida.
“It was so much in our sense of humor,” Skylain Clarke, 21, told ABC News. “It was so much our personality to do something like that.”
She said they had joked all week that they’d end up at Taco Bell at the end of their big night.
“We didn’t really get to eat our food by the time the wedding was over we’re like, ‘Yeah, we’re going to Taco Bell,’” she said. “Our photographer heard that and decided she was going to come along too.”
The bride said the employees couldn’t believe it when they showed up in a suit and wedding gown.
“They were like, ‘Oh my gosh, you are not in here in full wedding attire right now,” said Skylain Clarke. “They were just laughing. They told us congratulations.”
Taco Bell holds special meaning for the couple. As high school sweethearts, they used to have T-Bell dates before football and cheerleading practice.
“He would scrape up all the change in his car and we’d go before football practice and I had cheer practice,” she fondly recalled. “It was right across the street from school.”
It’s also where they ate on their first date.
“Our first date was at the Jacksonville Zoo and we stopped at Taco Bell on the way,” she said.
The newlyweds even dined at Taco Bell on their honeymoon while driving to and from Orlando.
Skylain Clarke said the photos mean a lot to them, although “they’re mostly just something to look back on and laugh.”
