One half of a runaway teen couple accused of a multi-state crime spree refused to stay in the courtroom today after seeing members of the media.
Dalton Hayes arrived in the courtroom during a preliminary hearing on charges stemming from their alleged crime spree. After seeing cameras and members of the media he immediately stood up and tried to leave, as his lawyer tried to talk to him.
"No disrespect to the courtroom, I’m not staying here in here with that media," Hayes told the judge in the Grayson County Courthouse in Grayson County, Kentucky.
