WATCH: Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert Announce Their Divorce

Country superstars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have decided to divorce, according to the Associated Press.

"This is not the future we envisioned," their representatives said in a statement to the AP. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."

The couple have been together for about a decade and married in 2011 in Texas after five years of dating. They celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary this past May.

This is the second divorce for Shelton, who stars on "The Voice" in addition to his very successful music career. He divorced first wife, Kaynette Gern, in 2006.

Shelton, 39, and Lambert have always been very supportive of each other careers, often sitting together at the CMT of ACM Awards, watching and cheering for the other as they both take home various trophies.

Last year, Shelton told US Weekly that he got an extra special gift for his wife on their third anniversary, making sure sure to treat her to some rest and relaxation after her latest album launch and tour for "Platinum."

"I drove down to Lake Texoma. We’ve got a boat down there and marina. I’m not a mechanic, but I managed to get this thing running, because I know when she gets back, she’s gonna want to do something like that -— just go and float around and drink and get pulled on the tube or something. So I thought ‘Well, I’ll get me some points in the end and get the old boat running.’ So I did," he told the magazine. "She means so much" to me.

Shelton also addressed tabloid rumors of a split in 2014, saying "I was upset for [Miranda] to go through it."

Lambert, 31, opened up about her marriage last January in Marie Claire, saying "Blake's the happiest person on the planet. He pulls me out of my darkness. ... Literally, everything is the best about being married."

The "Hell on Heels" singer has made headlines over the last couple years, when she showed up to red carpets, sporting a slimmer figure, later revealing she had dropped as much as 20 pounds.
