"The Bachelor" Chris Soules made his hometown visits Monday night on the ABC series -- but not before sending home Britt.
Britt had been a favorite of his this season, but he saw her in a different light when she had a meltdown after not receiving the group date rose during the ladies' visit to Chris' home state of Iowa on the episode that aired Sunday night.
Sensing that the tide was turning against her, Britt briefly threatened to quit the show. When it was announced that there would be no cocktail party, she appeared to go into panic mode. At the start of the rose ceremony, she interrupted him, requesting to speak with him in private. Chris admitted that the other women told him she was a liar. She asked him to reveal the identity of the bachelorettes who made the claim, to no avail. Chris then said she'd acted in a disrespectful manner, and he sent her home. Britt was left to sob outside.

This left four women still standing in the competition, including Becca, whom Chris visited in her hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana. He was the first man Becca had ever brought home to meet the parents. Becca's family was a little concerned about their romance because she's never been in a serious relationship. After the get-together, Chris took Becca out for a Ferris wheel ride.
Chris's second hometown visit was to Chicago, where he had the opportunity to meet Whitney's sister, brother-in-law, uncle and grandmother. The sister was reluctant to give Chris her blessing because he still had three other bachelorettes in his life. Later, Whitney declared her feelings for Chris by sharing with him pricey wine that she'd been saving for the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with.
Next up for Chris was a date in Phoenix with Kaitlyn. She's Canadian, but her family spends the winter in Arizona. After heading to a recording studio where they rapped about their Bachelor experiences, they met up with her mom, stepdad, father, stepmom and sister.
Finally, Chris traveled to Gering, Nebraska, to see Jade and her family. Her mind was preoccupied with the fact that she hadn't told him she once posed for Playboy. Chris became a little suspicious she was hiding something after his chat with her dad and brother.
Eventually, Jade came clean and even showed Chris the Playboy photos. Though he was shocked, he insisted it wouldn't affect their relationship.
As it turned out, their relationship was coming to an end anyway. He dismissed Jade at the rose ceremony, telling her that things were simply moving more quickly with the other women.
Next Monday, Chris and the top three continue their adventures in Bali.
