WATCH: Authorities find body of missing mother, children

Authorities have found the bodies of a 32-year-old Florida mother and her four children across state lines in Georgia, six weeks after they vanished.

Casei Jones was reported missing to the Marion County Sheriff's Office on Saturday night along with her four children, 10-year-old Cameron Bowers, 5-year-old Preston Bowers, 2-year-old Mercalli Jones and 1-year-old Aiyana Jones.

They were last seen in early August in the Ocala area, a city in Florida's Marion County about 40 miles south of Gainesville. Their family stated they hadn't heard from them since then, according to a press release from the sheriff's office.

The woman's 38-year-old husband, Michael Wayne Jones Jr., was located in Georgia on Sunday after a traffic accident. Casei Jones' body was found in the vehicle that her husband was driving at the time of the accident, according to the sheriff's office.

He later led Marion County detectives to the remains of four children, the sheriff's office said.

Although the remains have not been positively identified yet, investigators believe they are the those of the four missing children.

Marion County detectives believe Michael Wayne Jones Jr. murdered his wife and the four children at their home in Summerfield, a community that's part of the Ocala metropolitan area, and then stored the bodies there for several weeks before transporting them to Georgia, according to the sheriff's office.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest for second-degree murder in Marion County. More charges may be forthcoming, the sheriff's office said.
