U.S. Secret Service agents detain a man after a disturbance as Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke at Dayton International Airport in Dayton, Ohio, March 12, 2016.

The protester arrested at Donald Trump's rally in Ohio Saturday told authorities he had hoped to run on stage, snatch the microphone and yell, “Donald Trump is a racist,” according to a police report.

After Thomas Dimassimo was taken into custody, he told police he had "preplanned" the incident, the Dayton Police Department report said.

DiMassimo, 22, said he had even given his car keys to his girlfriend before the rally so she could take his car home, according to the report.

DiMassimo told police he “had no intention of hurting anyone," the police report said.
