#AlexFromTarget Hashtag Spawns These Silly Parody Accounts

@auscalum/Twitter
This photo of a Target employee named Alex was posted to Twitter Nov. 2, 2014, and became a viral hit, resulting in spinoffs from "#alexfromtarget."

The Internet became a localized "Tiger Beat" teen magazine this weekend when photos of boy band-worthy young male employees went viral.

It all started with a young Target employee whose photo hit it big with the hashtag #AlexFromTwitter, and the parodies soon followed. The unsuspecting young man named "Alex" apparently has been amused with the attention, at least according to this Twitter account (below). The Texas high school that he appears to attend did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Target said in statement to ABC News the company is "proud to have a great team, including #AlexFromTarget," declining to confirm any details about him.

Now there's "Steve from Starbucks"

And "Kieran from T-Mobile"

And "Matt from Red Robin"

And "Todd from Best Buy"

Plus a roundup.
