Duchess Meghan's life was not the only one that changed when she wed Prince Harry nearly two years ago in the U.K.
With the media coverage surrounding the wedding, the life of Akeisha Land, a mom of two in Missouri, unexpectedly began to change, too.
"Random people would stop me if I was out and about running errands and they’d say, 'You look just like that princess,'" Land, 39, told "Good Morning America." "Now I hear it at the grocery story and at church all the time and taking the kids to school."
"Even my family has come out of the woodwork and said, 'I told so-and-so way back in the day that you look like Meghan,'" she said.

"I don’t see it in our faces at all," she said. "But I certainly take it as a compliment because she’s beautiful."
It was a few recent photos of Land's hair that has turned her resemblance to 38-year-old Meghan into international fame.

"This is all just overwhelming and crazy to say the least," said Land, the mom of 3-year-old Greyson and 6-year-old Tristan. "I’m just a momma from Missouri."
Land said she so far has not heard from Meghan or any palace officials but would not mind stepping in for Meghan at red carpet events.
"Since she’s trying to take a step back, if she needs a fill-in for something then I’m ready and willing," said Land, with a laugh. "Have her people call my people, who are 3 and 6."
Land's viral fame comes as Harry and Meghan, the parents of 8-month-old Archie, are taking a step back from royal life and will no longer be "working members" of Britain's royal family. The family is currently staying in Canada, where it is expected they now will spend the majority of their time.
Land did not follow the royal family closely before her comparisons to Meghan started, but she said her own experience with viral fame -- a small sliver of what she imagines Harry and Meghan go through -- has given her greater empathy for the couple, particularly Meghan.
"I’m getting my kids ready for school and driving them to school and knowing all the chatter that is going on around the internet about me and I’m just a normal person," Land said. "It made me really think about Meghan."
"She’s just a normal mom like all of us," she said. "It's made me reflect on Harry and Meghan's situation as a whole and applaud them for wanting to get out of the public eye where people can feel like they can just beat them down when they don’t even know them."
