Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade celebrates Super Bowl win in Kansas City

WATCH: Super Bowl champs celebrate victory at parade

The Chiefs are back in Kansas City with some shiny new hardware and to celebrate their first NFL title in 50 years, the team will celebrate with fans in a sea of red for the Chiefs Kingdom Champions Parade.

The players and coaches made their way through the city aboard open-top double-decker buses, dancing, cheering, waving to fans, snapping selfies and soaking in the moment.

Super Bowl MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes and fullback Anthony Sherman did their best tomahawk chop for the fans as they rolled through the streets.

Chiefs star rookie, wide receiver Mecole Hardman, hoisted up the Lombardi Trophy and leaned out over the edge of the bus in an apparent "Titanic" moment.

The two-mile parade route started on Grand Boulevard at Sixth Street and heads southwest to finish at Union Station.

The victory rally will start just after the parade concludes and the team will take the stage in front of Union Station.

Police said they used tactical vehicle intervention, but did not know the unidentified suspect's motive.
