Tucked away amongst the London clouds floats a dining experience as whimsical as Mary Poppins herself.
The restaurant Aqua Shard has created a Mary Poppins Afternoon Tea that strives to offer an experience that's "practically perfect in every way."
From kite illustrations on the porcelain dishes to its very own Bert serving up cotton candy, the high tea features tons of details from the original stories.
Even Aqua Shard's skyline view of London ties in with the details of the afternoon tea.
"The actual tea stand is an umbrella with Mary Poppins' boots as the base, so it’s as if Mary is flying through the air, as we’re sitting in the clouds here at Aqua Shard here in Europe’s tallest building," Aqua Shard's marketing director Hannah Berry explains to "GMA."
Dive into decadent desserts like the "Strike Me Pink" Victoria sponge cake named after Mary's famous joyful saying or sip one of the bespoke teas made just for the occasion. There's even a champagne option with three specially curated "medicine" liqueurs straight from Mary's medicine bag to make your adult beverage even more unique.
The afternoon tea pays homage to the original Mary Poppins books by P.L. Travers. Aqua Shard has worked with his estate and Harper Collins Publishers to license images and other details from the stories for the themed tea service.
"I think a lot of people know the movies but don't really know the books, so we really wanted to extract the really whimsical and creative elements of the stories in our tea," Berry said.
Although the experience is based on the original books, the experience also comes just in time for Disney's new "Mary Poppins Returns" film premiering this holiday season.
Aqua Shard's Mary Poppins Afternoon Tea starts at $64 and runs through April 2019.
