As commencement ceremonies go virtual across the country for high school and college graduates, Krispy Kreme is giving away sweet treats to the class of 2020.
The doughnut franchise is offering a free "Graduate Dozen" on Tuesday, May 19, to all high school and college graduates who wear their cap and gown or any "Class of 2020" apparel when visiting store locations nationwide.

We wish they had that moment of walking across the stage and getting their diploma," Dave Skena, chief marketing officer for Krispy Kreme, said in a statement. "We can't replace that … but we thought we could help them safely have a little fun and enjoy a special 'Graduate Dozen' on us."
The special box of pastries includes two Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled, Strawberry Iced Kreme Filled and Cake Batter Filled doughnuts, along with half-dozen of the company's signature glazed doughnuts. The sweets are organized to spell out "2020" in three separate rows.
