Backyard barbecue season is fast approaching which means it's a great time to have some go-to marinades.
Maciek Zurawski, food blogger of Grillin' with Dad, had his first American barbecue at age 10 after moving from Poland and was "immediately hooked."
Once he got his first Big Green Egg for Father's Day from his wife in 2017, Zurawski started an Instagram account to share his dishes on social media. His TikTok has more than 1.2 million followers.
He shared one of his favorite easy chicken marinades with "Good Morning America" to kick off grilling season at home.
Ingredients
1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs
1 cup ketchup
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons minced ginger
Directions
Mix all the marinade ingredients together and pour over the chicken, making sure to reserve 1/4 cup for basting later.
Marinade the chicken for an hour, up to overnight, and when ready grill over high direct heat.
Flip it every 2 minutes so it doesn’t burn and start to baste with the reserved marinade. Cook until the thighs reach an internal temp of 175 degrees, serve with grilled pineapple slices and enjoy!
