After the brand teased fans on Instagram with an illustration of Dolly Parton, Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream confirmed a sweet new flavor for its latest collaboration with the Queen of Country.
The new, limited-edition strawberry pretzel pie flavor will benefit Dolly's Imagination Library, an initiative that collects donated books for kids from birth to age five, according to a press release about the collaboration.
The flavor combines "layers of salty pretzel streusel, subtly sweet and effortlessly tangy cream cheese ice cream, and lipstick red strawberry sauce."
Parton's new strawberry ice cream will be available in shops and online on April 8 with a limit of two pints per purchase.
Joining forces with Jeni's Splendid is just the latest sweet team-up for Parton, who added a 10th Grammy trophy to her collection over the weekend when she won best contemporary Christian music performance-song for her Zach Williams duet, "There Was Jesus." It's the second consecutive year Parton's won that award; last year, she won the same title for "God Only Knows," her duet with For King & Country.
The Ohio-based ice cream company founded by James Beard Award winner Jeni Britton Bauer has crafted some cult favorite limited-edition flavors, most recently a breakfast-inspired lineup complete with an everything bagel cream cheese flavor.
