Sylvester Stallone is paying tribute to his late "Rocky" co-star Burt Young.
The action star, 77, took to Instagram to share a black-and-white throwback photo of himself and Young to mourn the actor's death at the age of 83.
TEXT"To my Dear Friend, BURT YOUNG, you were an incredible man and artist, I and the World will miss you very much...RIP," he wrote alongside a photo of them in "Rocky."
Young's manager, Lynda Bensky, confirmed to ABC News that he had died, calling him "an actor of tremendous emotional range" in a statement.
"He could make you cry and he could scare you to death," Bensky continued. "But the real pathos that I experienced was the poignancy of his soul. That's where it came from."
Young was nominated for best supporting actor Oscar at the 1977 Academy Awards for his role as Paulie, the brother of Talia Shire's Adrian, in the first "Rocky" film.
He went on to reprise the role in all six of the mainline "Rocky" films, up to 2006's "Rocky Balboa."
Young had a Hollywood career that spanned more than five decades.
