Paul McCartney is celebrating another year of marriage to wife Nancy Shevell.
The 81-year-old Beatles legend took to Instagram on Monday to mark the couple's 12th wedding anniversary with a sweet selfie.
"Happy anniversary to my lovely wife, Nancy. Let's have a great one - Paul đ," he captioned the snap.
McCartney opened up about his life with Shevell, whom he married in 2011, earlier this year in a blog post shared to his website.
The iconic singer-songwriter said the most important thing to him is "just trying to be good to" Shevell and "trying to be considerate and romantic" in their relationship.
McCartney also noted that he likes to be "helpful," writing, "If there's a problem, I like to be the guy that will lend some strength to it. I'm always very happy to be the person Nancy relies on, and to be her strength when she goes through tough times. I am very proud, in fact, to be 'The Guy' there."
"So, that's my role as a husband: It's to be the strength and the romance at the same time," he concluded. "I don't think I consciously chose to be that way. It's just how I do things."
McCartney is dad to five kids, all from relationships prior to Shevell.
