Olivia Newton-John gives update on fight with cancer: 'I just want everyone to know, I'm here'

Olivia Newton-John, who is battling cancer for the third time, is staying positive.

The 70-year-old actress shared an update on her fight with the illness during a red carpet appearance on Wednesday. She told ET, "I just want everyone to know, I'm here, I'm doing great."

Newton-John added that she is "really healthy."

The star was first diagnosed with breast cancer in the 1990s. She then found cancer in her shoulder in 2013 -- and revealed last year that the disease returned and she now has a tumor at the base of her spine.

But the Australian actress, singer and songwriter is optimistic and vows to fight it.

"I am positive about my life and about my journey and I hope that can touch other people to be positive about theirs," she told ET.

“It was a challenging year because I broke my sacrum and I had to learn to walk again and all these things," she added. “But I am strong and I am back and I’m feeling good and loving every minute."

When she revealed her third diagnosis in 2018, she told the Australian show "Sunday Night," "I believe I will win over it ... that's my goal."
