Mindy Kaling is gearing up for the 100th episode of her comedy series, "The Mindy Project."
The actress stopped by "GMA" today to chat about the new, upcoming season and what it's like being the lead writer for her own show.
"It's really fun because I came from 'The Office,' which is this amazing show, but you know, on that show I had like one line per week and in this one it's just dreaming up all these situations where I'm like, in a love triangle with two handsome men. It's nice."

"Every boss, I think, likes to think of themselves as a good boss that's very popular and well-liked, but then you're like, 'Oh, well that's what Michael Scott said on 'The Office,'" she joked. "And so, I realized, I'm like, 'Oh, so this is the one office environment where no one complains about their boss' and like, oh no they do, it's just when I'm not around. But I like to think I'm nice. We go to Vegas once a year on a retreat."
Season 5 of "The Mindy Project" premieres Oct. 4 on Hulu.
