Mickey Guyton said welcoming her first child, a son named Grayson, has "changed everything" for her.

The country star, 38, opened up about motherhood and her first Christmas as a mom in a new interview with "Good Morning America."

"This little man has changed everything for me," she told "GMA" ahead of Cracker Barrel's "Sounds of the Season: Together Again" holiday special, out Wednesday. "He is my life, my world, my reason for living."

"He's brought such a new meaning into my life, and I will forever, forever be grateful to God that he gave me him," she added of 10-month-old Grayson, who was born in February.

The "Black Like Me" singer called motherhood "one of the most beautiful, tragic experiences" one could go through, saying it's "not for the faint of heart."

"There's so many highs, and then there's lows, like when they're sick. Your life is stopped, like you can't go on until your human is OK," she shared, referencing Grayson's recent health scare, which ended up being "dehydration because of a severe stomach bug."

Guyton said it's important to showcase her experience as a mom on social media, because she wants to normalize being a working mom.

"So often we have been made to feel like you can't have both. I want to show -- even ones that are hesitant, that are like 'I'm not sure' -- that you can do it," she said. "And not only can you do it, [but] the people around you … need to respect you and lift you up in that journey, because you're important. Motherhood is important."

When reflecting on her first almost full year as a mom, Guyton said she would give herself the advice to "give yourself grace -- a lot of grace."

"It's OK," she continued. "It's not going to be perfect, but you are good enough, and you're going to do what's best for your child."

From taking over the CMA Awards stage to being a working mom, the country music star shares advice she’s learned along the way.

As Guyton -- who is thrice nominated at the 2022 Grammys -- prepares to celebrate her first Christmas as a mom with Grayson and husband Grant Savoy, whom she married in 2017, she said motherhood has given her a whole new outlook on the holiday.

While the "Love My Hair" singer said she is looking forward to putting up the Christmas tree with Grayson and "seeing his eyes light up with the lights," she said it's also important to make sure he knows the true meaning of the holiday.

"I really want to pass down … the spirit of giving in this time," she explained. "It is so much better to give than it is to receive."

Another part of how Guyton is celebrating Christmas this year is by teaming up with Pentatonix for Cracker Barrel's "Sounds of the Season: Together Again" holiday special.

"To be able to sing and put my own spin on some of my favorite holiday songs has just been really cool," she gushed. "I hope it can really get people in the spirit of Christmas and the holiday season."

"Sounds of the Season: Together Again" will be available on Cracker Barrel's YouTube and Facebook channels on Dec. 15.
