Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas turned 103 on Monday.
The distinguished actor, director and producer cemented his status as one of the industry's greats throughout his decades-spanning career, starring in classics like "Spartacus," "Lust for Life, "The Bad and The Beautiful," "Paths of Glory" and so many other films.
He's received countless awards for his work -- everything from the Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille Award to an Honorary Academy Award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the American Film Institute Lifetime Achievement award.

"Happy birthday Dad! You are a living legend and your entire family sends you all the love in their hearts! #KirkDouglas #103" he wrote alongside a photo of them.
For Kirk's 102nd birthday last year, Michael told "Good Morning America" that his father was doing "unbelievable."
"Our only problem is he's discovered FaceTime," Douglas shared.
"But he doesn't have the three-hour time change worked out -- from west coast, we live on the east coast, we're early guys. We have kids, so 10:30 we're in bed. We get a 'Where are you?' 'I'm in bed, dad,'" he said with a laugh.
"He's fantastic. I just can't get over it. His memory is all there," Douglas continued. "He's in good health. He's got a walker and a wheelchair."
Michael's wife, actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, also offered her best wishes to Kirk on Monday.

She also recently shared a movie clip of Kirk alongside his late co-star Lana Turner in 1952 drama "The Bad and the Beautiful."

Michael Douglas' son Cameron called his grandfather "a gift to the world; a guiding light and source of inspiration" in a birthday message.
"I Love you. #103 to #infinity," he captioned his post.
