Matthew McConaughey on reuniting with Channing Tatum for 'Magic Mike 3': Call me, bro!'

A "Magic Mike" reunion could be in the cards for Mathew McConaughey and Channing Tatum.

It's been 10 years since the two first collaborated on 2012's "Magic Mike," which is loosely based on Tatum's own past experience as a male stripper.

In the first film, McConaughey portrayed a strip club owner named Dallas, who is a mentor of sorts for Tatum's titular character. He opted not to partake in the 2015 sequel, "Magic Mike XXL."

When it comes to the third installment, though, McConaughey seems open to returning.

"Channing Tatum, call me, bro! I haven't heard from ya!" the Oscar winner told Variety when asked if he'd be reprising his role.

"I don't know," he added. "I'd have to read [the script] first. It was a helluva lot of fun doing the first one."

In November, Tatum announced that "Magic Mike’s Last Dance" was in the works with director Steven Soderbergh, who directed the original, back behind the camera. The film will stream exclusively on HBO Max in 2022.

"No one's going to be safe during this one," Tatum teased Wednesday on "Good Morning America." "It's a contact sport doing these movies."

"I said that I didn't want to make a third one unless we swung for the fence," he continued. "This should be the Super Bowl and the Super Bowl Halftime Show that we just saw in movie form with strippers. That's my bar that I'm going to put it to."
