Actor and director Kevin Smith reunited with the cast of one of his first films for a walk down memory lane and a return to a fan favorite.
The "Jay and Silent Bob Reboot," is set to hit theaters Tuesday.
"It's a movie that makes fun of reboots and sequels and remakes while being all three at the same time," Smith said in a recent appearance on "Popcorn with Peter Travers. "[It] likes to have its cake and eat it, too."
When Peter Travers described the film as being like one big party, Smith agreed.
"It's like the best high school reunion you've never been invited to," he said.
Fans of the original "Jay and Silent Bob" film will be thrilled to see that most of the cast members from that film have returned, including Jason Mewes.
This time, the film follows Jay and Silent Bob cross-country as they try to prevent Hollywood from making a movie about their lives.

He added, "I honestly expected that somebody knew something I didn't realize like, 'He is going to die'. Even [Ben] Affleck came back. I haven't seen Ben in close to a decade."
