Fans of Kelly Clarkson knew the pop star was going to drop her single "Love So Soft" today.
But Clarkson, the first winner of "American Idol," surprised everyone by releasing two songs from her forthcoming album, "Meaning of Life," out Oct. 27.
"Move You" is also available now for instant download for fans who preorder her album.

In "Move You," a dark ballad with gospel undertones, Clarkson sings of wanting to love someone so much, it's "like your first time falling in love or a stairway up to heaven."
"Meaning of Life" will be her first album since signing with Atlantic Records in June 2016. It's clear that Clarkson, 35, is tackling mature subjects on this project, which promises to be less pop and more soul.
"This is a grown a-- woman's record," she told Entertainment Weekly. "This isn't a record I could have made at the age of 20. This is a record you make when you've lived."
