Who is a fianceé? "Jeopardy!" champ Amy Schneider.
On Thursday, the game show contestant shared on social media that she is engaged to Genevieve Davis.
"She said yes!" Schneider wrote on Instagram. "Well, actually I said yes, but then I wanted to propose too, so she said yes as well lol. I couldn’t be more happier or more proud to be marrying the very best person in the entire world, and I’m so glad to be sharing my life with her."
"It’s great to be able to introduce her to people as 'Genevieve, my fiancée,'" she added.
Schneider rose to fame on "Jeopardy!" when she earned the second-longest consecutive wins on the iconic quiz show, becoming the winningest woman in "Jeopardy!" history. During her run, Schneider amassed $1,382,800 in prize winnings.
The engineering manager from Oakland, California, also left a lasting impact on "Jeopardy!" as the show’s most successful trans champion thus far.
During her time on the game show, Schneider used her platform to discuss the importance of trans visibility and representation.
She told "GMA" that her favorite part of her "Jeopardy!" experience was "being on TV, you know, as my true self, expressing myself and representing the entire community of trans people."
Schneider is expected to return to "Jeopardy!" in the next Tournament of Champions this fall.
