Gwen Stefani has revealed that her new album is a "breakup record."

According to People, the singer called into San Diego radio station 93.3 to promote her new single, "Use to Love You," and revealed that the song was inspired by her recent divorce to musician Gavin Rossdale.

"My cross to bear was to go through these heartbreaks and write these songs and help people," said Stefani. "I would consider [my album] a breakup record."

Stefani and Rossdale divorced this August after 13 years of marriage, and reps confirmed last week that Stefani is now dating her "The Voice" co-star Blake Shelton.
