Actor Paul Rudd is playing a tiny hero in a Marvel universe big screen reboot of “Ant-Man,” and one of the film’s stars says he’ll make a big impact, especially on the female audience.

“Lost” alum Evangeline Lilly, who plays the film’s Hope Van Dyne, was one of several stars who chatted with ABC News’ Rachel Smith on the film set, and when Smith asked her what fans would most appreciate about Rudd’s portrayal of Scott Lang, Lilly replied: “I’ll speak for the female audience. I think they’re going to be shocked at how fricking sexy Paul Rudd is going to be in this movie."

She added: “I’ve had moments where, like, the beauty team, the glam squad will come be like, ‘Oh yeah, you should have seen that shot of Paul, he looked hot!’”

Co-star Michael Douglas appears to back her up, adding: “Paul Rudd has worked out so much that they had to tone his suit down because his eight-pack and his pecs were exploding.”

Good Morning America” got a sneak peek of the set in Atlanta and chatted with the stars between takes.

Smith asked Rudd whether the Ant-Man might display Rudd’s own keen sense of humor.

“I don’t know. I’m not sure. I think Ant-Man’s a lot like 'Sophie’s Choice.' I think people are going to be surprised,” Rudd said, laughing. “Yeah, it’s very serious. You have to be serious when you’re riding around on the back of an ant.”

Oscar-winner Douglas plays Dr. Hank Pym, Lang’s mentor and Van Dyne’s father. Pym is the brains behind the special serum that shrinks a human to the size of an ant.

Douglas, 70, reflected on his experience on the set of the film.

“I’ve never done one of these green screen movies and things you’ve got to pretend that are there, especially like ants,” he said.

Douglas had his children come to the set.

“This is the first film my son’s proud that I’m in,” he said, adding, “ my cool factor’s gone really up.”
