Ellen Pompeo and Kate Walsh reflect on 'Grey's Anatomy' scene 15 years later

Ellen Pompeo and Kate Walsh recently reflected on a moment in "Grey's Anatomy" history that fans are sure to remember.

Walsh, who played Dr. Addison Montgomery on the hit ABC medical drama, shared a clip of the season one scene in which her character confronted Pompeo's character, Dr. Meredith Grey, on her relationship with Dr. Derek Shepherd.

"Unreal that today marks 15 years ago to the day since this little lady walked on to your screen and checked ya for screwing her husband," Walsh tweeted on Friday alongside a clip of the scene featuring Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey and herself.

Pompeo also joined in on the fun and tweeted back about the significance of the moment in the series.

"@katewalsh thank god I messed with your hubby!!" the actress replied with laughing emojis. "It worked out well for us both!!! Love you so much and THAT scene ... when your character showed up ... was such a defining moment for this show. From that point on we had them hooked!!!"

Dempsey, who left his lead role in season 11, even added some hand clapping emojis to Walsh's Instagram post featuring the scene.

Walsh has also since left the show to pursue other projects, but Pompeo still holds a starring role on the drama.
