Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, will be hitting the streaming circuit later this year, debuting a podcast that focuses on women.
Meghan's first original series, titled "Archetypes," will look at the stereotypes faced by women and investigate "the labels that try to hold women back," Spotify announced Thursday.
In a teaser clip, Meghan talks about the stereotypes women face in pop culture and media and gives a preview of the guests who will join her on the series.
"This is how we talk about women: the words that raise our girls and how the media reflects women back to us ... but where do these stereotypes come from? And how do they keep showing up and defining our lives?" Meghan says in the clip. "This is 'Archetypes' -- the podcast where we dissect, explore and subvert the labels that try to hold women back. I’ll have conversations with women who know all too well how these typecasts shape our narratives. And I’ll talk to historians to understand how we even got here in the first place."
Meghan has made advocating for women a focus of the work she's done since marrying Prince Harry in 2018.

In the nearly two years since she and Harry stepped down from their royal duties and moved to California, Meghan has continued her work, speaking out for women's rights and, most recently, advocating for paid leave in the United States.
Meghan's new podcast is the first original podcast series produced as part of her and Prince Harry's multi-year partnership with Spotify that was announced in December 2020.
At the time the deal was announced, Spotify said Harry and Meghan would be both hosting and producing podcasts with the goal of building "community through shared experience, narratives and values."
The partnership with Spotify falls under the couple's production company, Archewell Audio.
Harry and Meghan's only previous work with Spotify following the announcement of their deal was a special holiday podcast, which debuted in late December 2020 and featured celebrities, athletes, activists and intellectuals reflecting on the year 2020 and looking ahead to 2021.
