"Have you ever dreamt of a better version of yourself? Younger? More beautiful? More perfect?" asks the opening seconds of the new teaser for "The Substance" starring Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley and Dennis Quaid.

The teaser centers around a green substance flashed on screen multiple times with a label reading "ACTIVATOR."
At one point, playing on the theme of image contortion, Quaid shouts "Pretty girls should always smile!" in an orange suit standing in front of a group of on-looking men.
That line is juxtaposed by shots of Qualley with blood on her face and Moore smearing lipstick on her face. Watch the full teaser for the film here.

"The Substance" hits theatres Sept. 20.
