Chrissy Teigen is four weeks sober, she revealed Tuesday.

The model shared a video of herself singing and dancing to Instagram, prompting one fan to comment: "I need whatever drugs you’re on!!"

Teigen responded, "4 weeks sober," along with a handful of emojis.

More than 5,000 people liked her comment, with many writing words of encouragement and sharing their own stories of sobriety.

Teigen, 35, opened up about her sobriety in 2017, telling Cosmopolitan magazine that she was scaling back on her drinking. At the time, she said she was "drinking too much," and added that she felt better when she abstained from alcohol.

"Nobody really brought it up to me," Teigen said, adding that there is a history of alcohol abuse in her family. "They just assumed that it was OK because I always felt OK the next morning. I knew in my heart it wasn't right."

At the time, Dr. Jennifer Ashton, ABC News' chief medical correspondent, said that for women, one drink per day is considered an average amount; for men, it's two. Anything beyond that, she added, is considered to be "excessive."

"The definition of binge drinking is four or more drinks in a two-hour period, and we're seeing that go up among women," Ashton said.

Those who are trying to cut back on the amount they drink could try limiting the number of days each week they consume alcohol, cutting the amount that they're consuming or trying a dry period that could be a weekend, a week, a month or longer, she added.

"Recruit social support or family support. It's very difficult to do this by yourself," she said. She also encouraged people who are struggling to "seek professional help."
