Bob Saget's daughter, Lara Saget, paid tribute to her late dad on the first Father's Day since his tragic death with a powerful message about love.
"My dad wasn't just my dad, he was my best friend," she wrote Sunday in an emotional Instagram post alongside a photo of her and the late "Full House" star when she was a kid. "He wore his heart. He didn't hide it; he wasn't afraid to love. My dad simply wanted to share laughter and love with this world."
Lara, 33, continued by saying how "scary" it can be to love so big and openly, adding that it's "easier to be angry, fearful, negative."
"Maybe because love has an infinite quality, it is boundless," she wrote. "My dad taught me that it doesn't matter what life throws, how hard, how painful, how seemingly impossible. It doesn't stop that love. He chose love, always."
"I commit to doing the same. The love is right there. And it's my responsibility to give it to myself and to share by living in the love," Lara concluded. "I love you infinitely, dad. Happy Father's Day."
Saget was found dead on Jan. 9 in his hotel room in Orlando, Florida. He was 65. In February, his family revealed he died from head trauma.
In addition to Lara, the comedian was dad to daughters Aubrey, 35, and Jennifer, 29.
