Backstreet Boys talk returning to Las Vegas to reignite DNA World Tour

WATCH: The Backstreet Boys return to Vegas to kick off world tour again

The Backstreet Boys are officially headed back to Las Vegas.

Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson are taking over The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in April for four shows to reignite their DNA World Tour. The four performances will be held April 8, 9, 15 and 16.

"It's a great venue, the acoustics there are amazing, every seat is amazing," Dorough told "Good Morning America" about the limited engagement. "And if it's not exactly the seat that you wanted to be able to be as close to us, don't worry. We're getting close to all of our fans out there, so it's gonna be a fun night."

Littrell told "GMA" the best part about performing is "bringing people together" and seeing fans smiling as they sing along to their favorite songs.

The fivesome's return to the Strip comes as they mark the five-year anniversary of their Larger Than Life residency, which ran from 2017 to 2019.

Dorough said performers used to view Las Vegas as "the place where you, you know, sail off into the sunset," but that was before acts like Celine Dion, Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez brought "this craze of energy" to the city. He said the group was "blessed" to have a residency there.

It was perfect timing, Dorough added, because after years of touring it was nice to stay put and have their families with them. "The hustle and bustle of constantly getting up and moving onto the next country sometimes can take a bit of a toll on you," he explained. "We're definitely not 20-year-old spring chickens anymore."

Littrell said they have their fans to thank for supporting them wherever they perform, be it somewhere around the world or here at home on the Strip.

"If they weren't there, we wouldn't be here. They've just been so gracious to us," he said, adding that the Las Vegas community has always welcomed them with open arms. "It's just nice to be back."

Also down the pipeline for the group is a long-awaited Christmas album, out later this year, which both Dorough and Littrell teased as having traditional classics and new material -- all with "a Backstreet Boys spin."

Fan presale for the Las Vegas dates begins Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. Tickets for the general public are available starting Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. PM/1 p.m. ET.

The Backstreet Boys' DNA World Tour kicked off in 2019 but was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The remaining dates have been rescheduled through 2022 and 2023. See a full list of stops on the DNA World Tour at the Backstreet Boys' website.
