The man is Ben Hanisch, and while he may be new to us, he and Schumer already have a history together.
Amy Schumer Opens Up to Barbara Walters About Father's MS Battle Amy Schumer Teams Up Again With Sen. Chuck Schumer to Urge Gun Control"Sometimes in life you get extremely lucky, and the smartest, funniest, most beautiful woman comes along when you least expect it," Hanisch wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of the pair snuggled up together last week. "Here's to what adventures 2016 brings!"
Hanisch is a Chicago-based custom furniture maker. His company, The Last Workshop, uses materials that are 100 percent "sourced and made in the U.S." and is "built by hand, made to last," according to the website.
Schumer brought Hanisch to the White House to watch President Barack Obama's speech on gun control Tuesday. After a gunman killed two people during a screening of her film "Trainwreck" this summer, Schumer began working with her cousin, Sen. Chuck Schumer, for new gun legislation.
After Obama's speech, the comedian joked about her new man.
