2021 GLAAD Media Awards: See full winner’s list

WATCH: ‘Glee’ cast reunites to honor Naya Rivera at GLAAD Awards

The 32nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards, which celebrate achievements in media for their representation of the LGBTQ community, took place virtually Thursday, streaming on YouTube and Hulu.

Hosted by out actress and producer Niecy Nash, the show featured special performances from CHIKA, Rebecca Black, Jessica Betts and Sabrina Carpenter.

The event also celebrated LGBTQ+ inclusion and representation past and present, including an emotional reunion of the cast of "Glee," introduced by Demi Lovato, who paid tribute to the legacy of the late Naya Rivera's character, Santana Lopez.

"The GLAAD Media Awards special guests and winners sent an undeniably loud message of LGBTQ acceptance around the world tonight," said GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis.

"This year's award recipients, including 'Disclosure,' 'Schitt's Creek,' 'Star Trek: Discovery' and 'Veneno,' remind us that even in times of political and cultural division, diverse LGBTQ representation and visibility can enlighten, entertain and create lasting impact, ultimately raising the bar for LGBTQ inclusion in media."
